After a week of deleting photos from her Instagram account, Queen B returns with a new song “Break My Soul” which dropped at midnight on June 21, 2022. Beyonce recently announced the album “RENAISSANCE” as her seventh studio album would drop on July 29, 2022.
The new song resonates as an “anti-work” anthem for the Great Resignation, specifically encouraging listeners to resign from stressful jobs and free themselves. In a snippet of the dance tune, Beyonce sings
“Now, I just fell in love, and I just quit my job, damn they work me so damn hard….and they work my nerves, that’s why I cannot sleep at night.” Queen Bey supporters took to their social media platforms relating to the song as their current situation; the desire to resign from their jobs.
